The fame of Indian spices is older than recorded history. The story of Indian Spices is more than 7000 years old. Centuries before Greece and Rome had been discovered, sailing ships were carrying Indian spices to Mesopotamia, Arabia and Egypt. It was the lure of these that brought many seafarers to the shores of India.  Broadly, there are two main subdivisions of spices, one being the major spices and the other is minor spices. For example, the spices like pepper, cardamom, ginger, turmeric, chilies etc., come under the major category. The important minor spices grown in India are ajowan, aniseed, caraway, celery, coriander, cumin, dill seed, fennel, fenugreek, garlic, onion, saffron, vanilla etc.

We aim to cater to the sophisticated palates of our friends and neighbors in Bucks county by providing them with innovative interpretations of traditional Indian cuisine made daily from the freshest and finest ingredients. 

Chef Ashni Kumar Guru has always had a passion for cooking.  After 21 years of experience in the Indian restaurant and catering industry he has decided to open his own restaurant where he can realize his vision of bringing people together around a table by creating memorable meals for them to share.


Guru's Indian Cuisine is the realization of that vision where Chef Kumar recreates and reinterprets the dishes of India.  Here you will find traditional dishes from the diverse Indian states as well as unique fusions of these classic recipes with Indo-Chinese and Mexican culinary influences sure to delight any foodie!
